Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets: Week 13

Teams on BYE: None

QB: Jacoby Brissett (ARI)

47.1% Rostered

Jacoby “Brisket” Brissett makes his second appearance as one of my Waiver Wire Targets. I picked him 2 weeks ago and since then, he’s had games of 452 yards and 317 yards. In week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brisket scored 18.68 going 33/49 for 317 yards and 1 TD through the air. He also added 3 rushes for 20 yards. Brisket is consistent and scores anywhere between 18-25 points per week. He also added a rushing element to his game. There is potential for 30+ yards rushing on any given Sunday. The Cardinals’ run game is nonexistent and their defense is poop so expect a lot of passes from Brisket yet again. In week 13, Brisket takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have a defense that let Matthew Stafford pass for 200+ yards in the first half alone.

RB: Dylan Sampson (CLE)

7.2% Rostered

Let me preface this pick by saying that there is a good chance you don’t need a RB from the Waiver Wire but here it is anyway! Dylan Sampson is the 3rd down back for the Cleveland Browns. Against the Las Vegas Raiders, he put up 16.2 points on 7 rushes for 23 yards but added 2 receptions for 59 yards and a TD. I made this pick based off of RB1 Quinshon Judkins’ availability. Judkins went out with an injury. If he is declared out for week 13, Sampson takes over that RB1 role. The majority of Sampson’s 16.2 points came in abbreviated time after the Judkins injury. He made the most of his opportunity. As I mentioned earlier, Sampson is the 3rd down back and Shedeur Sanders seems likely to get him the ball. In week 13, the Browns take on the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have a bad defense but good enough to get the Browns to 3rd down where Sampson has an opportunity to shine.

WR: Parker Washington (JAX)

20.2% Rostered

In my Power Rankings a couple weeks ago, I asked “Who is Parker Washington?” It turns out, Washington is Trevor Lawrence’s favorite target. In week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals, he scored 18.1 points with 5 receptions on 7 targets for 71 yards and a TD. In the last 5 weeks, he averages 7 targets a game. In the last 5 weeks (if you take out the dud week when Tyler suggested him) he averages 15.7 points per game. That is more than solid for a waiver wire pick up. Washington is the main component of this Jacksonville Jaguars passing attack. This upcoming week, the Jags play the Tennessee Titans who boast a defense that allows 352 yards per game which is good for 8th worst in the league.

TE: Juwan Johnson (NO)

49.6% Rostered

Juwan “Not Juan” Johnson makes his 3rd appearance in my Waiver Wire picks this year. For anyone wondering and still subscribing to my revolving door theory, he is behind door #3. Want to hear a fun fact? Johnson is the 6th best TE in terms of fantasy points this season. How he is rostered in under 50% of leagues is beyond me. In week 12, he had 10.5 points against the Atlanta Falcons with 6 receptions on 7 targets for 46 yards. It honestly does not matter who is in at QB because Johnson is such a vital part of this offense. Since week 7, Johnson averages 6 targets per game. Since week 7, Johnson score double digit fantasy points in each game. This upcoming week, the Saints play the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are the 29th worst defense against TE. Get ready for Johnson to feast on more than just turkey this week.
